Positive Posters is an organisation that aims to raise awareness of global social issues through their poster competition. Here are my 2011 entries.

Finning is the barbaric process of cutting off the fins of a shark and discarding the body at sea. Millions sharks are killed each month for their fins. What do we do with the fins? We make soup out of it. Soup.

Domestic bliss?

Domestic & family violence affects men, women and children all around the world. It can take the form of verbal, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. All forms of domestic violence are unacceptable and the people being affected need your help.

Put yourself in the picture

With so many huge and overwhelming problems in the world it can sometimes feel that the actions of one person can do no good. I heard a wonderful quote once - "If you think you're too small to make a difference, you've obviously never been in bed with a mosquito". Let’s band together and try and make a small positive difference every day.

Dyslexia is not stupidity

Often when people with dyslexia are not diagnosed early on, it is mis-understood, and seen as stupidity or laziness by others. This can have a huge effect on schoolwork, learning and progression. Changing attitudes to dyslexia and recognising that someone has dyslexia early on, can make a huge difference to a person's life.

Stop overfishing

Overfishing has been dubbed as the biggest single threat to marine ecosystems. We are rapidly destroying our oceans and depleting the population of fish at large. Soon it will be irreparable. It’s simple, isn’t it?
